Fast / One-Time Crops
- Mature and are harvested once.
- Need to be replanted for another harvest.
- Useful for short growing windows.
- Easier near season end if enough days remain.
FARMING GUIDE
Learn how farming works in Fields of Mistria, which crops are useful for beginners, how regrowing crops differ from one-time harvests, and how watering, automation, the Greenhouse, and Fruit Trees fit into your farm.

THE BASIC LOOP
Growth takes multiple in-game days, and missing a watering day delays progress. One-time crops disappear after harvest and must be replanted, while regrowing crops remain and produce again after their regrowth period. Seasonal timing matters most when planting late in a season.
YOUR FIRST FIELD
Mix different crop types instead of chasing one highest-value answer. Keep some fast-growing crops for quick harvests, add a few regrowing crops for repeated harvests, and keep part of your early money instead of spending everything on seeds.
Leave enough time and stamina for exploration, fishing, mining, requests, and relationships. There is no need to fill the entire farm immediately.

COMPARE THE WORKLOAD
KEEP IT MANAGEABLE
Start small. Watering too many crops can consume too much of the day, while farming should still leave time for mining, fishing, gathering, requests, exploration, and relationships.
Expand gradually when watering and harvesting no longer feel burdensome. Regrowing crops reduce replanting work, but they still require management.
DAILY WORK
LONG-TERM FARMING
PRACTICAL ADVICE
AVOID THE PRESSURE
Begin with a field you can water comfortably.
Keep some money instead of committing everything to the first planting.
Check the remaining season before planting longer-growth crops.
They benefit more when enough time remains for repeated harvests.
Leave room for the other activities around Mistria.
Wait until the current routine no longer feels burdensome.
Check seasonal details before planting.
Automation can make expansion easier as progression continues.
FARMING QUESTIONS
Start with a mix of fast crops and a few regrowing crops. Keep the first planting small enough to water comfortably, and avoid spending all your money on seeds.
Missing a watering day delays crop growth rather than immediately destroying the crop. Resume watering and allow extra time before harvest.
Not always. Regrowing crops benefit from early planting and reduce replanting, while one-time crops can fit short growing windows more easily.
Plant only as much as you can water without losing the time you want for fishing, mining, gathering, requests, exploration, and relationships.
The Greenhouse allows seasonal crops to grow outside their normal season. It is a later option, not an early-game requirement.
The Water Sprite Statue automatically waters crops within its coverage area. The normal statue covers crops within a 2-tile radius.
No. Fruit Trees do not use the same daily watering routine as normal field crops.
No. The Greenhouse is useful later for growing seasonal crops outside their usual window, but it is not required to begin farming.
