How Fishing Works
A Simple Fishing Routine
- Find a pond, river, ocean area, or another fishable location.
- Look for fish shadows in the water.
- Check the shadow size if you are hunting a specific fish.
- Cast close enough for the fish to notice the bobber.
- Reel in when the fish bites.
- If the fish you need is not appearing, check season, weather, location, and rarity before trying again.

Fish Bait can be used in open water to summon a fish shadow. Different bait rarities correspond to different fish rarities.

Fish Trap
- The Beach Fish Trap is unlocked after repairing the Beach Bridge.
